Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how New Age Radio ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your
information when you use the New Age Radio (NAR) iOS app and related services (the "Service").
By using NAR you agree to this policy. If you have questions, contact us at
support@newageradio.net.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information — email address, display name, username, date of birth,
and password (or your Apple / Google sign-in identity). A phone number is optional.
- Profile content — profile photo, banner, bio, and other details you add.
- Content you create — audio posts, comments, likes, playlists,
direct messages (text, voice, photos, and videos), and anything else you share.
- Support messages — anything you send through the in-app contact form.
Information collected automatically
- Coarse location (optional) — if you grant location access, we derive a
city-level region (for example "Vilnius, LT") to surface nearby trending audio and
optionally tag your posts with a region. We do not store your precise GPS coordinates.
You can disable this at any time in Settings, or enter a city manually instead.
- Usage data — interactions with the app (e.g. plays, likes, searches) used
to operate features and improve the Service, collected through Firebase Analytics.
- Crash and diagnostic data — collected through Firebase Crashlytics to fix bugs.
- Device push tokens — to deliver notifications you have enabled.
What we don't do: we do not sell your personal data, we do not show ads,
and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
2. How we use your information
- Provide and operate the Service (accounts, feeds, messaging, notifications).
- Process audio you record — including optional caption generation and voice effects.
- Personalize discovery (e.g. nearby and trending content).
- Keep the community safe — content moderation, report handling, abuse prevention,
and enforcing our Community Guidelines.
- Respond to support requests and send important account emails
(e.g. sign-in alerts, account-deletion confirmations).
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. What is public
NAR is a social network. The following is visible to other users by default:
your profile (name, username, photo, bio), your public posts, comments, likes shown on
content, follower/following lists, and the optional coarse region tag on posts.
If you set your account to private, your posts are visible only to approved followers.
Audio and image files attached to posts are delivered through content URLs. These URLs are
not guessable, but anyone who has a link to public content can access the file it points to.
Direct messages are visible only to the participants of the conversation.
4. Who we share information with
We share data only with service providers that help us run NAR, under contracts that
limit how they may use it:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, database, file storage,
push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting.
- ElevenLabs — speech processing for captions and voice effects on audio
you choose to process.
- Email providers — for transactional and support emails.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the safety of users,
or as part of a merger or acquisition (we would notify you of any ownership change).
5. Data retention and deletion
- Delete your account in-app — Settings → Account → Delete account.
Your account is hidden immediately and permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period
(you can cancel by signing back in within those 30 days).
- When deletion completes we erase your profile, posts, comments, likes, playlists,
notifications, and the messages you sent. Messages you received may remain visible
to the other participant, marked as from a deleted account.
- Some records (e.g. moderation reports) may be retained where required for legal or
safety reasons.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR and the California CCPA),
you have the right to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict the processing of your
personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent.
- Export — request a copy of your data in-app (Settings → Account), delivered by email.
- Delete — delete your account in-app as described above.
- Everything else — email support@newageradio.net
and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with
your local data-protection authority.
7. Children
NAR is not for children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your country).
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child is using
NAR, report the account in-app or email us and we will remove it.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted, and private
data (such as your email, phone number, and block list) is protected by server-side security
rules. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
9. International transfers
Our primary data storage is located in the European Union (Google Cloud, London/EU regions).
Some providers may process data in other countries; where they do, transfers are protected by
appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update
the date above; for significant changes we will notify you in the app.
